However, I am unsure as to how taxation would lead to a single payer system without some sort of government plan from which one may purchase. Congress does indeed have power, but the President may lobby congress and it is a powerful lobby. My professors have been all over the map, but I consider myself further left than Obama.

Barack Obama and his team assessed the economic conditions, and proposed that the answer was his giant $3.27 trillion stimulus package. People around here are getting jobs left & right because of the access to further education, I used construction as an example of the 2 year level, people are getting many other jobs other than a trade at the 4 year level. Yearly hotel projects are under-construction constantly & its not stopping in this area, construction is not leaving anytime soon especially with the new bases & schools coming into play.

@Bronzecop If you are trying to make it sound as though the 3.3 are working you missed the point friend. The real unemployment rate is above 15 % if not pushing 18% in America. Construction is not going anywhere except for tearing down buildings and structures. A few homes are going up but who can afford to buy. The only numbers that are dropping in unemployment, are the ones who are exhausting there benefits. This is the only reason the so called unemployment numbers are dropping - wake up.

But because there are hundreds of thousands of 99ers who are not able to collect unemployment insurance the unemployment rate is falsely lower than what the real numbers are. They are probably closer to 12% - !8% but I would not expect simple minded people to figure this out. So your research is flawed - you are going by only those who are collecting.

I am attending a WV College because I can't afford to take out loans. Colleges should also be pro-active in getting students more involved. There needs to be an outreach to help students in college find a solid career. You can't be expected to know everything when you start college. It shouldn't be a dog-eat-dog world.

There may be people of Spanish decent all over the world, but being a person from a small country where there aren't many, and looking at the US as an outsider, that is the impression I'm getting. It isn't ignorant because most people outside the US recognises the US's involvement in other country's policies etc. So this being in Spanish, and the closest Spanish country to the US being Mexico, I put two and two together.
