I cannot believe how much of a difference there was! I am starting the cleasnse tomorrow, and I am so excited to lose a few pounds before school starts. this is not the way to go about loosing weight. Your starving yourself. You lose muscle weight and ur slowing down your bodies motabolism. I tried it and i only lasted seven day's. After reading more about this diet i learned that it is not a way to loose weight. I did loose weight but i gained it back the second i started eating again.

Where did you get that info? I don't recall reading that in any of the official books about it. You're really only supposed to use grade B maple syrup since it's a natural balance of sugar - which gives you the energy you need for the day. I know you can use agave for up to 10 days.

Hello, I have read that a substitute for maple syrup is molasses for diabetics. In my current location, maple syrup is $5.33 per ounce (which is prohibitively expensive). So I would rather use molasses if it is safe. I am not diabetic but have pancreatic stress. Is it safe for me to use molasses? Thanks very much for taking the time to respond.

@ChaChing86 No. If you come off it properly as it says in the book and make sure you eat healthily then you don't have to gain back a pound! If you include exercise as part of your daily/weekly routine after you've come off it then even better! If you go back to eating the exact same way then you will put all the weight back on eventually. It's kind of like the beginning of a new start to a healthy new you and you feel fantastic so you won't want to go back to what you were doing before!!

Remember, it's not a DIET...its a BODY CLEANSE... a side effect to the cleanse is the weight loss. I would more-so say its water weight versus fat loss. I do recommend cleansing the body of the buildup of toxins... Good luck!

Hey there i'm on another day one and i know you're done but i think you were choking because you're supposed to use a teaspoon of sea salt not a tablespoon...that's way too much. It should taste like mmmmm chicken noodle soup not the atlantic ocean. :) thanks for posting...your videos are helping me stay natural and take on the master cleanse again.

Really glad it worked for you, couldnt help but notice the salt you used was iodised/ table salt, its really better to use non iodised or organic sea salt as recommended by Burroughs in the original book. Next time:)

The only way I was able to keep the salt water down was to do two critical things: 1. use a straw and stick it really far back in my throat, and 2. DO NOT drink fast-- it takes 15 - 30 mins for me to get everything down. Not sure if you will try again, but those two things made a huge difference for me.

I just finished doing the master cleanse a few weeks ago. I did it for 11 days and sucessfully lost 10 lbs. For me it was a great experience. I set my goal and i stuck with it until i reached it. I only did the salt water flush 3 times during the process because it was gross. The days i didn't do the Salt water flush i just drank laxative tea, which also works. I will definitely do the cleanse again in the future!

I tried the master cleanse a few months ago. I did the saltwater flush n threw up 30mins later. I used TABLESPOONS instead of TEASPOONS. To make it worse my lemonade was too spicy n the laxative tea gave me cramps the nxt morn wen I drank it the night b4. I'm gona start over 2morro n get it RIGHT this time. I was goin for 10days, but I'll try 14. I wana get all this garbage out of my systemt n lose 10-15lbs while I'm at it, DONT GIVE UP!!! Sumthing will work out for u.

NO IODINE in your SEA SALT!! The Salt water was the worse part for me too.. but I warmed the water and chugged it while telling myself it was 'chicken noodle soup' :) Hope you found another cleanse.. What a complete load of nonsense! People need to realise all this "detox diet" stuff has got no scientific basing. It was made up by the ancient Egyptions, it didn't work then and it doesn't work now. The real answer to a healthy body is drink less alcohol, stop smoking, eat a balanced diet and do a bit of exercise, you'll gain more from that than any detox diet.
