It's called a Guitjo or "Banjitar" It's strung exactly like a guitar.. just has a banjo head and resonator attached to the guitar neck. Very fun to play and awesome sound.

Um,I didn't give you a tumbs down. I am not Canadian,and actually thought that mr Adams was cool!.I rememberer when he was here in the mid 80's,the critics said he was the next Springsteen. I plan to see him in either Wolf Trap or Floyd but want to go to a Ramble so bad it hurts. I am trying to find a travel partner from down this way to go with. There are plenty of so-called fans but when you mention going to Woodstock and paying that price they shrink back...not me...I'm as ready to go as I was 36 years ago!!!

It was a great show. Levon only sang about 6 songs but he did sound good. He has a guy in the band that sounds very much like he did 35 yrs ago.. I have plans to see him in Woodstock this summer.

Well; You didn't tell us how the concert was? I am a little younger than you; (not much though) and a huge Band fan too. Saw them in '74 three times...I loved them then but even love and appreciate them more now. Did Levon sing? I hear he is now...just got a message about 2 days ago that he was singing again. I am going to see him this summer. I can't wait! Make sure you see his documentary "Ain't In It For My Health" premiering next month.

Ditto ... what Neohip said. I'm 63 and heard The Band for the first time I can remember was on a mountain in Vietnam. I from Upstate NY. I heard them live for the 1st at Woodstock. I've been hooked on their music ever since. In about 19 Hrs. I will be listening to Levon in concert. He has to take it easy on his chords but i heard he still sounds great with the help of his music coach.

Few things are better than this song. It's really got everything. If you get a chance to see it, Elvis Costello did a solid performance with Levon Helm on his show, 'Spectacle', that was pretty good. Levon didn't sing though. Richard Thompson, Allen Toussaint and Nick Lowe performed with them.

It's all good, I didn't mean to sound so callous. Youtube needs an edit button lol. Danko's singing really shines in "It Makes No Difference" though, you'd be surprised. (I do remember a History of Rock and Roll class in my high school though, never went into detail about the bands or songs of the times. I wish I could major in it that would be badass) :D

You're right. I was incorrect, and I'll admit it. I don't like Dylan, but I thought this was an awesome song. I'm not surprised that he didn't write it (I was taught that he did in my asinine 'History of Rock and Roll' class.) And as far as Danko (I didn't know his name,) there isn't anything wrong with his voice, I just think the other ones are phenomenal.

Pretty sure Dylan didn't write this song. Actually quite positive. Robbie Robertson (member of The Band) took sole credit for writing this song. It was performed live by Dylan in the mid70s, maybe you assumed that he wrote it. As far as Danko singing, why don't you watch "It Makes No Difference" from The Last Waltz. Before you make comments you should do your research.

Great song and incredibly talented band. They could play something like 18 different instruments between them. They are so young and full of life in this video. RIP Richard and Rick, two great rockers that died way too young. Levon is still rocking up in Woodstock.
